Sommer Contemporary Art is pleased to announce Yehudit Sasportas’ solo exhibition “The Archeology of the Unseen”, at the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Yehudit Sasportas’ works are both landscapes and visualizations of the subconscious. In drawings, sculpture, architecture, sound and film, she merges the complex structures of virtual and real nature – such as forest clearings and swamps – into large-scale mental landscapes. For many years, Yehudit Sasportas has returned time and again to the residual Dreesberg moor, southwest of Oldenburg, to experience the peculiar and quiet landscape of the nature reserve.
