Sommer Contemporary Art is pleased to present the group exhibition “Vessel,” featuring works by various contemporary artists that address basic themes of art history, focusing in particular on the object of the vessel or container. To a large extent, they describe a reflective mode that questions the role of the artist and of art in an unstable reality. The Vessel, or container, is an object that on the one hand expresses the interior versus the exterior and on the other hand expresses the possibility of movement in space as opposed to standing in place.
